Changes in scotopic and photopic ‘a and b’ wave amplitudes following 20 mg/kg of NaIO3 administration in WT and PON2-deficient mice. Amplitudes of scotopic a- and b-waves were significantly reduced 7 days after injection with NaIO3 by more than two-fold in WT mice and a complete suppression of scotopic ERG in PON2-deficient mice (A,B). The amplitudes of photopic ERGs were also significantly compromised with NaIO3 treatment; however, the reduction in amplitude was more severe in PON2-deficient mice (C,D).
