^aLipP (final concentration, 0.05 mg/ml) was incubated in 20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0) buffer containing each organic solvent at 25°C for 1 h. Remaining activity was determined with 0.5 mM p-nitrophenyl butyrate in 20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0) buffer at 25°C and expressed as the percent of the control value (with no addition of organic solvent).
