Forest plot of association of reproductive disorders with three depression groups (UKB data). The OR represents the odds that an individual with the reproductive disorder will experience the depression phenotype, compared to the odds of an individual without the disorder (for menopausal symptoms, only individuals who had experienced menopause were considered). Although women with endometriosis, ovarian cysts, menorrhagia, dysmenorrhoea, UF, or PID have higher OR of experiencing PND, the small sample size of PND led to large confidence intervals, and no difference was statistically significant. PID, pelvic inflammatory disease; PCOS, polycystic ovarian syndrome.
