(Middle) One yz-slice at the top (red on the localiser shown on the right) and one xz-slice at the bottom (green on the localiser sown on the right) that have been selected. They are orthogonal to each other and to the xy-plane. (Right) Localiser that combines one xy-slice and the position of the other ortho-planes (yz-slice: red; xz-plane: green). Using ortho-plane viewing, the user can scroll through the depth, width, and height of the specimen, zoom, pan, and perform dimensional measurements.
