The samples were collected from 12 live bird markets (LMBs) in six regions in Tanzania. Sampling was performed during the dry season (September–November 2018) and rainy season (January and April–May 2019). Samples with rRT-PCR cycle threshold (CT) values of ≤30 and ≤ 25 were considered to be “confirmed” and “strongly” NDV-positive, respectively, as described in the text.
These are numbers (and %) of birds out of the “confirmed” cases, i.e., with CT values of ≤ 30.
