A key role in H. pylori eradication is played by the doctor-patient agreement, informing the patient of the possible side effects of the drugs used and adapting the treatment to the patient’s financial capabilities. Information should be obtained from the patient about previous antibiotic exposures so that they are not taken into account when choosing H. pylori treatment.
