scTOP identifies mouse lung cell types. (A-D) Using the Mouse Cell Atlas as the reference basis, we show that mouse lung types separate clearly on the scTOP score axes. The data points correspond to individual cells, and in A the marker shape and color indicate the true cell type as determined by annotations from Herriges et al. (2023). The axes used are scTOP scores for similarity with lung ciliated cells and alveolar types 1 and 2 (AT1, AT2). In B-D, individual cells are colored by the marker genes for the type indicated by the color bars at the end of each row (see supplementary information, section H for details on the marker genes used).
