PCOS classification

Classification into clinical phenotypes (Doi-Alshoumer)
Group Criteria
A Neuroendocrine dysfunction (IRMA LH/FSH ratio >1 or LH >6 IU/L) and irregular menstrual cycles (oligo/amenorrhea)
B Without neuroendocrine dysfunction but with irregular menstrual cycles (oligo/amenorrhea)
C Without neuroendocrine dysfunction and with regular menstrual cycles
Diagnostic criteria (Rotterdam)

Presence of two of three of the following criteria:

1—Oligo/amenorrhea

2—Hyperandrogenism

3—Polycystic ovaries (≥ 12 follicles measuring 2–9 mm in diameter and/or an ovarian volume > 10 mL in at least one ovary)
