Elevated HMGB2 indicates poor prognosis in HCC patients. OS and DFS of HCC patients (n=62) were classified as HMGB2-low group (n=32) and HMGB2-high group (n=30) according to the protein expression of HMGB2. Elevated expression of HMGB2 was related to shorter OS (P=0.0006) and DFS (P<0.0001) rates. Kaplan-Meier method was employed to further analyze prognosis and survival information of HCC patients.
