Germination rate and morphological characteristics of maize seeds at different time points under sterile water and ROS scavenger (DMTU) culture conditions. ZD958 (A) and DMY1 (B) seeds were cultured under sterile water (control) or different ROS scavenger (DMTU) concentrations to investigate seed germination rates at different time points. Germination was monitored every 6 h after 48 h. The cumulative germination rate was calculated based on these results. Data represent the mean of four replicates for each of the 50 seeds. Morphological characteristics of ZD958 (C) and DMY1 (D) seeds were observed and photographed under sterile water (control) or different ROS scavenger (DMTU) concentration culture conditions at 24, 48, and 72 h.
