Male rats at 12 weeks of age were fed normal chow or HFD. After 8 weeks of feeding, serum samples were taken and total cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C)) and triglyceride (TG) were measured as described in Methods. Each value represents mean ± SD. *: SHR vs. SHRApoE(−/−), †: SHR vs. SHRApoE(−/−)Prdx2(−/−). No significant differences were observed between SHRApoE(−/−) and SHRApoE(−/−)Prdx2(−/−).
