[29,29,100,100,109,110] Foods often described as beneficial in cancer prevention include fruits, berries, vegetables (especially cruciferous and green leafy vegetables), legumes, nuts, high fiber whole grain foods, and some coffees and teas (i.e., without high-calorie additives). In general, whole food (with limited processing) plant-based dietary intake not only reduces the risk of ischemic heart disease, but may also reduce the risk of cancer [111].
