Table 1.

Glucose, fructose, pH and acidity in cold-stored pear samples and stored after SmartFresh® treatment (1-MCP), harvested in two different times. All data are expressed as fresh matter, glucose and fructose are expressed as g/100 g of fresh matter, and acidity is expressed as g of malic acid equivalent/100 g of fresh matter. Values are means ± standard deviation (SD); n = 3. Different symbols indicate significant differences between samples of the same storage treatment. Lower- and uppercase letters indicate significant differences for SmartFresh (SF) samples vs. cold storage (CS) samples at the same sampling times (T0, T1, T3, T6, T9) (p ≤ 0.05).
