Cytotoxicity effect of MPOBA on MDCK cells. Cells were treated with MPOBA at various concentrations and cell viability was evaluated by MTT assays at 24 h. Doxorubicin (2 µg/mL) and 0.1% DMSO were used as the positive cytotoxic control and the negative control, respectively. Each data point indicates the mean of four separate experiments ± SD. Statistical differences between groups were analyzed using Kruskal–Wallis followed by Dunn’s multiple comparisons post hoc tests. Means with the same superscript are not significantly different (p < 0.05), whereas means with different superscripts are significantly different (p < 0.05).
