Correlation coefficients between the main variables (ACEs, forgiveness and its dimensions, depression) were the result of the Pearson correlation analysis (assumption tests were fulfilled, in bold), while correlation coefficients containing the types of ACEs (childhood abuse, childhood neglect, household dysfunction, bullying, parental death) were the result of the Spearman’s rho correlation analysis (assumption tests were not fulfilled). *p < .05, **p < .01, ***p < .001.
