Metabolic labeling of vaccinia virus-infected BT7H cells in the presence and absence of compound 1a. BT7H cells were infected with rVV NS3-5. Compound 1a was added at 10 or 100 μM throughout the assay, and cells were metabolically labeled with [³⁵S]methionine at 19 to 21 h postinfection (see Materials and Methods). Cell lysates were analyzed by SDS-PAGE and autoradiography. Fully processed nonstructural proteins are indicated by arrows. P, precursor proteins.
