The designed viral variants with mutated HVDs do not accumulate G3BP in nsP3 complexes and do not induce SG formation in response to virus replication. NIH 3T3 cells were infected with the indicated viruses at an MOI of 20 PFU/cell. At 6 h p.i., they were fixed and immunostained with the antibodies specific to G3BP1. Bars correspond to 10 µM.
