Receiver-operating-characteristic (ROC) curves for various cut-off levels of plasma C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT) and sTREM-1 in differentiating between presence and absence of infection. Areas under the ROC curves: 0.97 for sTREM-1, 0.85 for PCT, and 0.77 for CRP.
