In the cumulative learning curves above, the expert (Learner A) achieved the predetermined competency of 0.6 within 50 reads. Learner B, a relative novice, has a distinct learning curve as they learn and improve with every X-ray interpreted. Learner C shows a negative slope on the learning curve, indicating some other confounding influence, such as boredom, fatigue, or anxiety.
