Criteria for GON Grading.

Classification Pathologic features
Non-GON None of the GON appearance
Suspected GON

At least 2 conditions positive:

1. 0.7 ≤ Vertical cup-to-disc Ratio ≤ 0.85;

2. Rim width ≤0.1-disc diameter;

3. General rim thinning ≥60° or localized rim thinning <60° in the superior region or inferior region;

4. Retinal nerve fiber layer defects;

5. Splinter hemorrhages on disc;

6. β peripapillary atrophy.

Confirmed GON

Any of the following conditions:

1. Vertical cup-to-disc Ratio ≥ 0.85;

2. Retinal nerve fiber layer defects correspond with the thinning area of rim or notches.

GON glaucomatous optic neuropathy.
