Criteria for an Acceptable Donor in Living Donor Liver Transplantation.

•Volunteer donor who is related/emotionally attached to the recipient, understands the potential risks of undergoing hepatectomy, and will be compliant with follow-up

•Age range 18–55 years

•No known medical disease that would increase perioperative risk

•No risk of disease transmission from donor to recipient

•ABO compatible except in exceptional circumstances

•An adequate partial liver graft can be safely harvested
