Binding site identification. (a) GerA complex obtained through AlphaFold. The protein consists of three smaller subunits, AA, AB and AC. The B subunit is thought to sense and bind with the germinant L‐alanine, whereas the A subunit is responsible for transducing the signal from B [28] upon activation.
