  • Sedation

  • Anticholinergic effects

  • Blurred vision

  • Dry mouth

  • Dry skin

  • Constipation

  • Extrapyramidal effects

  • Acute dystonic reactions (acute muscle contractions of limbs and body)

  • Parkinson-like symptoms of rigidity and tremor

  • Akathisia (a sense of restlessness or inability to sit or stand still)

  • Tardive dyskinesia

  • Catatonia (a state of near mutism and little affective response tostimuli)

  • Orthostatic hypotension (sudden changes in blood pressure related toposition, resulting in fainting spells and falls)
