Passive changes in gastric blood flow (GBF) induced by withdrawal of arterial blood from the carotid artery. Withdrawal of 0.7 ml of arterial blood produced a 21 % decrease in MAP associated with a decrease of the same amplitude in GBF (paired t tests, n = 6).
