Status epilepticus promotes epileptogenesis and is associated with altered expression of distinct transcription factors. Main Transcription factors (TFs) altered during the epileptogenic process. These TFs are involved in inflammatory signalling cascades mediated by microglial activation, reactive astrocytes and ion channel signalling.
