Progression of disease and neurological signs as a function of inoculum size and inoculum preparation (frozen stock or freshly grown culture). (A) All rabbits were infected via intra-cisternal inoculation of Mtb HN878 and necropsied when they reached a neurological score of 4. Rabbits were scored on deviations from baseline for body and head position, balance, and limb function (Table 1).
