The hydrolysate was prepared from dried Himanthalia elongata [106] (credit for the photo of H. elongate: Willem VK, Saxifraga) (A). The recombinant strain was cultivated on plain seaweed hydrolysate after pH was adjusted to 7.0 (B). Pamamycins in the culture broth were analysed by LC–MS/MS (C). In addition, the spectra of pamamycin derivatives during the mid-exponential phase (24 h) and the stationary phase (96 h) are shown. The data represent mean values and standard deviations from three biological replicates (n = 3)
