Mediation analysis was performed using the Horne-Östburg Morning–Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ) and mid-sleep point on a free day [37] as potential mediators, and mediation was confirmed for average mediated effect p-values < 0.10. Mediation was considered full if the average direct effect had a p-value ≥ 0.10.
