TAR vector contains a yeast selectable marker (in blue), a yeast centromere (CEN) and two unique hook sequences (hk1 in beige and hk2 in brown). TAR cloning results in multiple gene-positive transformants. Therefore, different alleles of a gene become separated into different yeast cells, allowing for further independent analysis.
