Direct symptoms: Indirect symptoms:
  • Swallowing salvia or while drinking and eating

  • Frequent coughing/clearing of throat during or after eating/drinking

  • Gurgling voice/so-called “wet voice”

  • Recurring pneumonia (pneumonia, recurring bronchitis, unclear fever)

  • Unwanted weight loss

  • Food “does not go down”

  • Food residues in mouth/throat

  • Chest pain while eating
