Map of the rpoE1 region. The rpoE1 gene, which was shown to lie downstream of frzZ, was cloned and sequenced on pBS9 and various subclones (not shown). The EcoRI-XhoI fragment from pAD-RpoE1 which when expressed in yeast showed a potential interaction with the expressed insert in pBD-Z1, and was used as a probe to identify pBS9, is shown.
