Effect of VL on NFkB (A) and p(ser276)-NFkB (B) protein levels in human intestinal cells. Notably, Caco-2 cells were treated with VL at the concentration of 50 μM for 24 h. Subsequently, its ability to modulate the NFkB (A) and p(ser276)-NFkB (B) protein levels was assessed by Western blotting. The data points represent the averages ± s.d. of four independent experiments in duplicate. All data sets were analyzed by one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey's post-hoc test. C: control sample; ns: not significant; (*) p < 0.05, (**) p < 0.01, (***) p < 0.001 and (****) p < 0.0001.
