Table 2.

Ethnicity and Indigenous identity questions and responses to be presented to participants. The categories are in line with accepted standards for reporting ethnicity from the Canadian Institute for Health Information [31]. Participants will be informed that the provision of this information is voluntary and that they will be allowed to select more than one. Participants will be asked to answer the following question: “In our society, people are often described by their race or racial background. These are not based in science, but our race may influence the way we are treated by individuals and institutions, and this may affect our health and health outcomes related to diabetes. Which category or categories best describe you? Check all that apply.”
