Cocaine, But Not LPS, Modulates ART Extravasation Across the BBB. FTC (grey, A and C) and TFV (blue, B and D) (both at 10 μM) were added to the apical portion of the BBB model and allowed to extravasate into the basolateral portion in the presence or absence of cocaine (10 μM, burgundy, A–B) or LPS (10 ng/mL, fuchsia, C–D) for 24 h at 37 °C, 5% CO₂. The media in the basolateral compartment was collected and the concentration of each ART drug that passed was measured by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry.
