Effect of selected compounds [beauversetin (53), xanthoquinodin A1 (46), and metronidazole] on the growth and viability of L. acidophilus grown under anaerobic conditions. The tetramic-acid-containing compound (53) had no effect on the bacterium at the concentrations tested.
