Relative expression levels of transcripts were analyzed by the 2^−△Ct method, using the formula: relative expression = 2^−∆Ct × f, with f = 1,000 as an arbitrary factor (42). Data are representative of the mean  ±  SEM of three separate experiments. Significant differences were determined by two-way ANOVA or one-way ANOVA, indicated as *P < 0.05.
