Hallmarks of autoinflammation and major effector cell types. These cell types may be modelled with primary cells isolated from patients, immortalised cell lines or patient‐derived induced pluripotent stem cells. These cellular models facilitate the identification of molecular events leading to the pathogenesis of autoinflammatory diseases. These events ultimately result in multisystem manifestations, including fever, inflammatory marker elevation and organ‐specific inflammation.
