Figure 5.

Lenses were blind scored with the genetic identities and ages of fish removed to quantify the proportion of lens defects. Any statistically significant differences are indicated with a p-value (“N-1” Chi-squared test). Sample sizes were typically 10 fish for 6, 12 and 18 months and 15 fish for 24 months. Data used for this analysis are included as Supplemental Table 2.
