The TF-SI presents an angulated, sharp end that allows for an A1 pulley progressive cut. A specific flange is added on the unbeveled side of the tip to enhance the sonographic visualization of the cutting part (arrow). A spiral groove on the instrument rod allows for the identification on the sonography image of the amount of rotation of the instrument (arrow heads).
