Splenomegaly in a 2-year-old neutered male domestic shorthair cat. The spleen is folded over upon itself, indicating enlargement, and has a mottled appearance due to the presence of numerous hypoechoic foci throughout the parenchyma. A moderate volume of free anechoic peritoneal fluid is visible caudal to the body of the spleen. The final diagnosis was lymphoid hyperplasia.
