Date Event Description
2 November 2006 Amended ERRATUM
The 2004 update of this review reported in error that "In the study that looked at long‐term outcomes (Rodriguez 1999), two participants died after discharge from the hospital…and another sixteen were lost to long term follow up". The authors have corrected this passage as follows: "In the study that looked at long‐term outcomes (Rodriguez 1999), two participants with underlying severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia died before hospital discharge (one from the ribavirin group and one from the placebo group). These deaths were believed to be caused by the primary disease process. Another 11 participants were lost to long‐term follow up. Five participants in this study were unable to undergo pulmonary function testing." (See 'Description of Studies').
18 September 2006 New search has been performed The search for studies was updated in 2006 but no new trials that met inclusion criteria were identified.
One new trial (Rodriguez 1999) was added for the earlier 2004 update. In addition, an older trial (Barry 1986) was included in the 2004 update because the authors provided data specific to the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV‐positive) portion of the study patients. Finally, long‐term outcome measures were included (Rodriguez 1999).
10 January 2004 New search has been performed Searches conducted.
