Post-enucleation photographs of formalin-fixed hemisected globes of 16 cats with the round cell variant of FOPTS. All subtypes have a similar characteristic appearance on gross examination. There is extensive involvement of the intraocular tissues – with circumferential invasion and effacement of uvea and retina, followed by expansion of the tumor within the chambers of the globe, and eventual extension through the sclera and along the optic nerve.
