Schematic representation of the TMEV genome organization. The positive-sense RNA molecule from TMEV is flanked by 5′ and 3′ UTRs. TMEV genome is translated into a polyprotein which, through proteolytic cleavage by the 3C protease, gives rise to 12 proteins (4 structural and 8 non-structural proteins).
