Co-cultivation of tumor cells with human monocytes or monocyte-like THP1 cells led to an increase in HSF1 activity in tumor cells. A Western blot analysis of A549 and DLD1 cells after incubation either with THP1 cells of with human monocytes for 20 h performed with pHSF1Ser326 and HSP70 antibodies. β-tubulin was used as the loading control.
