Values were compared with those for PC-17 by unpaired t tests or by determining the 99% confidence limits for the mean MIC or lethal concentration of PC-17: ∗, P < 0.05; ∗∗, P < 0.01. The r values for the regression lines used to calculate the MICa values ranged from 0.986 ± 0.009 to 0.987 ± 0.014.
