Negative binomial regression models were estimated using 2-way fixed effects, with standard errors clustered at the country level to account for repeated observations. Multivariable models adjusted for UNAIDS region, epidemic type (generalized or mixed or concentrated), log-transformed annual number of children living with HIV, log-transformed population size, and World Bank income classification quartiles.
