a, The human and mouse ZRS sequence is highly conserved. The human ZRS has 19 putative ETS-binding sites, all with affinities equal to or lower than 0.52. The mouse ZRS has 6 functionally validated and 12 putative ETS sites; 15 of these are conserved in location and affinity with the human ZRS. b, The ETS-A site and surrounding sequence show perfect conservation between mouse and human, as indicated by asterisks.
