Interventions	Intervention: direct electronic referral and booking for outpatient surgery (1 stop) Control: traditional patient pathway: Every participant was seen at the outpatient clinic several weeks ahead of surgery
Outcomes	Primary: Waiting time for outpatient surgery Costs Secondary: General practitioner (GP) satisfaction
