In the article “Olfactory Nomenclature: An Orchestrated Effort to Clarify Terms and Definitions of Dysosmia, Anosmia, Hyposmia, Normosmia, Hyperosmia, Olfactory Intolerance, Parosmia, and Phantosmia/Olfactory Hallucination” [ORL 2023, DOI: 10.1159/000530211] by Hernandez et al., five references are incorrect due to technical errors.
In the section on Anosmia the references 31 and 32 are incorrect and the sentence should read “However, various tests may use different numerical cut-offs to define anosmia (see [48, 49]); hence, the diagnosis of ‘anosmia' depends to some degree on the test used [38].”
In the section on Parosmia the references 44 and 45 are incorrect and the sentence should read “In addition, a 4-item questionnaire [60] and a test based on the ratings of odors ([67], but also see [68]) have been proposed.”
In the section on Parosmia the reference 61 is incorrect and the sentence should read “The distorted odor perception is usually unpleasant but may occasionally be pleasant (also ‘euosmia') [69].”
