Shown is our standard positioning for the supine patient. In this image, the patient has a thigh high thromboembolic deterrent hose (T.E.D.; Cardinal Health) placed on the nonoperative extremity and the extremity is well padded to prevent pressure injury. The operative extremity is fully exposed and marked. A well-placed tourniquet has been placed over the Webril (Covidien) on the most proximal portion of the operative thigh.
